Compare GoGrid to Amazon EC2

What GoGrid Customers are Saying

"I needed a better server platform than Amazon EC2, and found it with GoGrid."
— Hareem, toxicvibes.com
"The rapid deployment and free load balancing made it easy to setup a load balanced web application."
— Marshall
"We implemented a VMware solution and also a GoGrid solution. With GoGrid we had a much faster install, no capital costs and saved a lot of money by not having to pay our consultant to set up the whole environment. VMware was a big learning curve; GoGrid has no learning curve."
"It's very, very easy for sysadmins to configure and control."
— Bjorn
"At MotivePath, we serve ad content to some of largest Facebook applications, so we had to scale quickly as our client traffic increased by 100X in less than one week. We were able to migrate our web, mobile, and video advertising platform to GoGrid in 1 day, and were able to service 22 million user requests the next day. Having a fully load-balanced grid architecture was key to our success. Further, since our application logic was previously hosted on a mix of CentOS and RedHat servers, having a choice of OS images was a requirement. In fact, later, when a client requested a Windows service, we were able to deploy a full .NET silo within hours, where this would have been completely impossible on other services we tried, such as EC2 and Joyent. I don't expect we'll ever buy servers again; GoGrid rocks!"
— Robert, MotivePath.com
"Easy to use, pricing seems fair, and support is good."
— Trent, jangostudios.com
"The GoGrid service allows us to create any number of servers for a trial period so clients are able to see, first-hand, our software services at work. Previously we've used dedicated servers but the GoGrid service offers much better value for money. We did look at Amazon's EC2 but our software is Windows based. GoGrid allows us to run servers based on Windows or Linux. Each GoGrid server appears to be powered by a 3.0GHz Xeon processor. To get similar processing performance on EC2 you need to use the "Large" configuration which is charged at $0.40/hour while GoGrid is $0.19/hour for a server configured with 1GB of memory. Dynamically configurable servers will be the foundation of all IT services in the future and I'm really pleased to have found a company able to offer this facility today."
— Bill, lyquidity.com
"Just the idea of being able to create & destroy server instances blows my mind. The technology and price structure you have in place makes it appealing to venture into this new paradigm, risk free. Not having to shell out hundreds bucks up front and then wait for hours and days to fix a bad install removes all the barriers to entry. Highly cool."
—Eric, Shepard.com
"We like the flexibility of the GoGrid platform. We offer hosted services to customers of all sizes and can get them up-and-running quickly. Because we support networks of retail photo-finishers who sell online to their customers our work is very seasonal (Xmas, Valentines/Mothers/Fathers Day, etc). GoGrid allows us to add and subtract resources as our business dictates—and we aren't paying for excess capacity."
